Deftly she swung the car round several bends over a narrow wooden bridge which seemed to move as they passed and under a leanto at the side of the building. drumming of the rain on the corrugated iron roof still prevented any conversation and opening her handbag and taking out a key she shouted, "Let's get inside out of this weather". Once inside the cottage the noise of the storm was subdued by the thick stone walls and Jim was surprised to find it was a spacious place, well and expensively furnished.
